Description

This American Goulash is a comforting one-pot meal made with ground beef, macaroni, and tomatoes. Quick, easy, and packed with bold flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Brown the ground beef, then drain excess grease.
  • Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, soy sauce, and spices. Bring to a boil.
  • Add macaroni, reduce heat, and simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Top with cheddar cheese if desired, cover, and let it melt. Serve warm.

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
